This charm honors the little member of the Whale order called Cetaecens. They are little toothed whales. Like their larger whale cousins, their ancestors began on land and took to the sea nearly 500 million years ago. They are represented in Hindu mythology as the Makara, Amazonians and Rapa Nui people think of them as shapeshifters and they and in ancient Greece, Taras, was rescued from a shipwreck by a dolphin sent by his father, Poseidon.
