Damaged and incorrect items

Please inspect your item upon receipt and notify us immediately at info@shipwreckmontauk.com if it’s damaged or incorrect. We’ll work together to find a good solution.

Returns

Commissioned jewelry cannot be returned. Items are made to order, and unless there’s a defect or sizing issue, we cannot accept returns on correctly fulfilled, undamaged orders.

Sale items and gift cards cannot be returned.

For all other items, email us at info@shipwreckmontauk.com within seven days of receipt to notify us of a problem. Be sure to include the order number and any other relevant details, like pictures, and we’ll work with you to resolve the issue. Returns are evaluated on a case-by-case basis.

Do not send any items back before reaching out to us. If and when items are returned, we can provide a return address and recommend using UPS or FedEx and noting the tracking number. We cannot accept CODS, and we’re not responsible for missing or lost packages. We’ll notify you once the package has been received and the item(s) inspected. If there are no issues, we’ll notify you and disburse a refund within 7 days of receipt of the returned item. Please note: Banks may take longer to process the refund.

All items must be returned in their original condition.

Exchanges

Only gifted items can be exchanged. They must be exchanged within 90 days of purchase. We can exchange for store credit minus a $20 restocking fee. You are responsible for shipping items back. We do not cover shipping costs and cannot accept CODS. We recommend using UPS or FedEx; make sure you have a tracking number and email us with it. We are not responsible for missing or lost packages.

Resizing

Rings can usually be resized, although some, like cameos, may not be resized. A change in size may put pressure on the stone, making resizing a moot point. If your jewelry doesn’t fit, please email us at info@shipwreckmontauk.com with your order number to discuss resizing options. Generally, making a ring slightly larger costs between $10 and $20. Making a ring smaller requires more work and time, with costs starting at $40.

In rare cases, if the change in ring size needs to be more than two or three sizes, and the design contains a stone, it might not be possible to alter the ring as it will put too much pressure on the stone and an entirely new ring might need to be created.
