The ring is in honor of Julia Butterfly Hill, the activist that climbed 180 feet up a Coastal Redwood tree and lived for 738 days to save it from being logged. She defied the company intended to clear cut the forest and saved the tree named Luna. If you would like to know more, read this wonderful interview.
